# Bind plates to a product

`POST https://api.parklio.com/v2/products/{id}/bind-licenses`

Lets whitelisted license plates open this product. When an LPR camera in the product's **zone** reads a bound plate on the way **in**, and the plate is on an active [lot whitelist](/api/endpoints/lot-whitelist-create) entry, Parklio opens the first bound product that's online and closed.

`license_ids` are the `license_id` values returned by [Create lot whitelist entries](/api/endpoints/lot-whitelist-create). Unknown ids are ignored silently: check with [`GET /v2/products/{id}/bound-licenses`](/api/endpoints/products-find-all-binds). See the [Plate-based access](/guides/plate-based-access) guide.
