# Parking detection gateways

A Parking Detection Gateway is the on-site hub that connects one or
  more Parking Detection Cameras to a Lot and relays their occupancy
  data back to the platform. It is identified by a UUID assigned during
  setup and reports an online/offline connectivity status.
