# Gateways

A Gateway is a physical Parklio bridge device that connects
  Bluetooth-based products (barriers, gates, chains, brains, etc.) on
  a lot to the Parklio backend over the network. Identified by a
  hardware UUID and public key, it reports an online/offline status
  and firmware/network details, and can be remotely operated (reboot,
  info, force scan) once assigned to a lot and account.
